Posted on

The fall sports were full of ups and downs through every sport at ACHS. Starting with football, after the bulldogs started 1-2 winning over Salina Central, they fell to the rest of their opponents throughout the year. Knowing their record was not the best they knew they were in for a treat come playoffs.

Facing the number two seed, Bishop Carroll, the Bulldogs gave them all they could handle but fell short.

Moving to soccer, the bulldogs started off big with a 7-0 win over Eldorado. They managed
to go 6-2-1 at home and 2-4 on the road. This brings their win percentage to .567. After just missing the mark on landing a home playoff game the bulldogs traveled to Buhler and fell short ending their season.

For volleyball, the lady bulldogs fell to their first opponent but then won two straight to get them back on track. Under the new head coach, Lacy Colquhoun the bulldogs went into substate confident. They started off strong with a big win over Mulvane 2-0. Next, they faced Wellington in the finals. Although they put up a massive fight they fell just short of going to state.

Finishing off with girls tennis, they brought two doubles teams and they brought two doubles teams and two singles to the state tournament. Although none of them finished as a champion all of them placed and brought home a medal. All in all, ACHS fall sports finished in the middle of the pack with their leagues’ tournament.
