Buffer Week is a week to give students to allow them a break before the start of Winter Sports.
“It is where an athlete cannot be in a school facility from Monday-Sunday after school,” said Activities Director, Aaron Bucher. “So that means no open-gym and no offseason weights.”
KSHAA created this week to give the athletes a break after Fall Sports ended and before Winter Sports began.
There is also a week in December over Christmas break where the athletes cannot practice. This buffer week is also intended to give the athletes a break before the second half of the winter season begins.
