Winter sports are right around the corner and the basketball and wrestling teams have high expectations and goals.
Head Wrestling Coach, Greg Buckbee, wants to maintain consistency as he enters his thirteenth season.
“We need consistency throughout the entire season, and to continue to improve every week,” said Buckbee, “Even if it’s just small amounts of improvement and not to go downhill and plateau.”
In previous years, the wrestling team has been ranked number one or two in the state, and it is clear that they have the same intentions this year.
On the opposite side, the basketball team is gearing up for another season as well. C.J. Jennings, Head Boys Basketball Coach, is entering his second season.
Last year, the boys basketball team finished 11-10 and are looking to improve on this for the upcoming season.
The goals and expectations for the basketball team, according to Coach Jennings, are to “[compete] for a league title and to win a substate basketball game.”
While the wrestling team and boys basketball teams look for successful seasons, the girls basketball team has a new coach and new hopes.
Brett Gunderson took over the girls basketball team this year, with the lady bulldogs coming off a 5-16 year last season.
